Just thought I was getting another super cheap vacation package through a timeshare company. And since we've sat through a few presentations before with Westin, Hilton, etc., I believed this was no different when I got a call and an offer for a Cancun trip back in 2020. So after putting $400 on my AMEX, I got an email saying I had up to 5 years to book a trip. But fast forward to today (August 2023) and the site, phone number and email addresses are all out of service. I reached out Bookvip.com thinking they were an affiliate company since the logo and site looked exactly the the same, but they had no record of the transaction and said that other scam companies have been pretending to be associated with them for years. Now I'm out 400 bucks since I can't dispute a 3 year old charge and don't know what or even if I can do anything at this point. Lesson learned.

I received a called on 12/17/2020 stating it was Marriott hotels and had special vacation offers. They mentioned if I paid $1,000 I would receive 7 vacations and I said I do not have those funds, they were very persistent and went down to $500 and they mentioned a cruise trip to Alaska for two people and i had to use everything withing 18 months of purchase. So I took the offer they said when I was ready to book to call them. I I gave and they took my money from my account . $506.97 and international fee for $15.21. They didn't even email a receipt. I tried calling in Feb to book my first trip out of the 7 they offered the number was disconnected. This was a total scam and I feel horrible for falling for this. I wanted to surprise my husband but this was the wrong surprise .
