Community Labor Partnership advertises movers on craigslist. When you call they take a credit card number as a "deposit for the job." They are supposed to schedule movers who will show up and actually do the job. I understood that my deposit would pay some part of the workers hourly wage. Instead it was a $165 payment to the Partnership.

On 8/24/23 they were supposed to supply two movers to my home at 8:30 am. Only one person showed up and I was forced to do the moving myself as I had rented a truck. I had to pay the one mover in cash. He was receiving nothing from the Partnership. I was unable to move everything that needed to be moved incurring expense and some of the things that we tried to move got damaged because they were too heavy for me to lift.

This company is a scam. The expensive "deposit" gave me nothing in return.
