I was approached by a Thomas McPeterson from Denver, Colorado on a border collie adoption Facebook page and was offered a border collie puppy for 995. I paid this to him through Zelle after he sent me a contract. He then claimed he dropped the puppy off at a transportation flight company called Pet Air bus. Someone from PetAirBus contacted me and said he needed to be insured and to send AE gift cards. He then emailed me more misinformation and requested more gift cards for a vaccination and an overnight boarding fee. The next day, I was informed that he got halfway to my location and he needed a new crate…I stopped communicating with him when he sent that email. I tried to track down where the gift cards were turned in. We discovered the business address in Denver.
