Borrelli Tech LLC Reports & Reviews (10)

The same thing happened to me with every single detail mentioned by tracing Axel Wallin profile he changed his name on Linkedin to Bern D.
https://www.linkedin.com/in/bern-davidsonmngr/

- Miami, FL, USA

A person going by the name "Brenda Mitchell" called me, she said she represents "Borrelli Tech LLC" she asked if I was interested in a project manager position paying very high ($86,000.00 - $91,000.00 per year) but didn't require bachelors and 3 years of experience was preferred. (see below) So I was already suspicious but I had just applied for a ton of PM positions so I responded. She then scheduled a phone interview at 920AM and in the email, it was noted "As the interview is based upon pre-prepared questions, any questions that you may have with regards to the position will be dealt with at a later date and on another scheduled call." I also found suspicious because what kind of employer wants to interview candidates but doesn't want them to ask about the position. Anyway, against my better judgment I had the phone interview and was asked generic interview questions and was told that they would let me know if I would move on to the next step after the rest HR team reviewed my application.

So then I get an email saying that I got the job (at this point I don't even know what the job is!) and the following statement "you will be contacted by the Sr. HR Manager pertaining to the next step. She will be sending you additional paperwork and more information on the process. Pertaining to the paperwork, today you will be getting Employment Agreement which covers the month of the paid probationary period. This needs to be signed and returned to the Sr. HR Manager. If for some reason you do not hear from the Sr. HR Manager today, then please get in touch with her directly, see details below: Sr. HR Manager: Lori Hungate Phone number: (617) 963-0184 E-mail address: [email protected]"

At this point, I knew this was a scam, who sends an employment agreement before even telling someone what the job is, without meeting them in person. Then it gets worst! Then this Lori person emailed me with the following: "Please find attached Employment Agreement and Formal Job Description. Formal Job Description covers key terms of the position and the probationary period. Employment Agreement describes the terms of the probationary period and further FT employment. Please note that all reporting during the probationary period will be done on a remote basis through the MA office. An office opening in your area has been scheduled already, see below. Date of opening: 6/1/20 Location of the office: 1101 Brickell Ave, Miami, FL 33131 (telecommute) To sign up for the probationary period, please complete as follows: 1. Review papers attached. Read the Job Description and the Employment Agreement. 2. Make sure you do understand the process and all your data is correct. If you notice a typo, let me know. 3. Print out the last page of the Employment Agreement, sign it, scan it, and send it back to me over the e-mail. Faxed copies are no longer accepted, if you are not able to scan the signed copy, a photocopy will suffice. 4. Upon receipt of your signed last page, I will send you a confirmation e-mail and a complete work plan with a list of instructions related to the probationary period. 5. We will be launching 2 groups, one on Wednesday and the other one on Friday. At the moment we have an opening with a group starting on 4/13/20. If this date is suitable, please let me know. Otherwise, an alternative date will be proposed. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me directly. Thank you."

When I read this bogus employment agreement that was signed by "Borrelli Tech LLC, Head of HR Department, Mr. Mario Franchioni" where they are basically saying that you have a PROBATIONARY period of 30 days, in which you will only work 2-3 hours a day remotely and they will pay you $2,000 at the end of the 30 days. In addition, they aren't guaranteeing employment past the 30 days. So basically you want me to do "work" (whatever that is because at this point I still font know what this job is!) for free for 30 days and then possibly terminate your agreement and then you have to trust that will pay you after. Again, total strangers who you've never met want you to sign an agreement that is vague in terms of job duties and compensation. Aside from the obvious, where no real company would employ someone they've never met, the agreement was basically a word document that they added signature lines to at the end, it isn't even formatted as an agreement.

I don't know what SCAM they have going or for what purpose they are trying to fake hire people but at the end of the day, these scammers are wasting people's time. People who are in legit need of a job. They are praying on vulnerably job-seeking people and giving them false hopes and potentially scamming them out of something. It's borderline evil. I completed the 30-day probationary period and pre-employment course, and then the company, the people, the website, the emails all disappeared... They ghosted me. If you see a similar scam don't waste your time and energy. I don't know what they hoped to achieve with the scam. They didn't receive any personal information from me or any account information. So I'm left scratching my head. These people are [censored].

+1

What they ultimately would want from you is to request that you purchase computers for the new office that they are allegedly, opening in your area. They say that you have to use a vaild credit card, and can go through the vendors that they provide. My guess is that the vendor ordering is a phishing tactic to a bogus website, where your information is taken and either sold on the black market or used directly by them. It definitely is/ was a con artist type of scam, which if you were seriously naive, trusting or unaware, would provide your personal information to. What legitimate company requires you to purchase products for them, with the promise that they'll reimburse you on the back end and you've received paycheck number zero? ? None that I know of.

This is the updated profile from what used to be Axel Wallin.

+2

The same thing happened to me. I continued with the training as well. Axel Wallin (not a real person) complemented me and wanted me to do some 1099 work to procure office equipment ahead of Senior Management arriving to the office. I questioned that so he backed off. I continued up to the last of the case work (#10). Then I was ghosted - the website was temporarily unavailable - said it was preparing for on-line surveys and webinars. Who would shut down their entire website for over a week to add functionality? I have not heard from them since (Brenda, Lori, nor Axel). However, Axel Wallin had a linkedIn profile which is why I kept up the training. He accepted my connect request. He was Axel Wallin working for Borrelli Mechanical. I went back in to my connections today (5.2.20) and that profile has changed to Alexander Anderson who now works for OMF R.N.L so I quess another scam is in the works. I have contact LinkedIn to see if they can trace false profiles. This is ridiculous and the website for Borelli Tech no longer comes up.

+2

This is a huge SCAM! The 3 of them (Brenda, Lori and Axel) work together to make you believe that it is an actual employment opportunity by engaging you with an interview, a contract and then they further their fraudulent scheme by involving you in a 4 week training course and daily communications that are totally fruitless. They find Commercial property listings that are active and pretend they have a lease in at least 3 states Maryland, Florida and Massachusetts. They are attempting to steal your credit card information and your banking information as well as identity. Since I contacted them in writing letting them know I was aware of their scam, they took down the website for Borrelli Tech LLC. Please beware of these criminals they seek after people who have provided their resumes on sites such as Indeed , Career Builder and any other site

+2

Thank you for sharing this is very helpful

The same happened to me but I continued further past their "interview" into their "training" program to find out the actual scam. Turns out after the interview and completing training Case Studies (in my case I had completed CS #1 - #5) they complement you...

"you are one of the most promising candidates to take the position according to the feedback I got lately."...

and then reward you with a project...

"we are looking for a candidate who can assist us with procuring office equipment for the new office before team of seniors arrive."

As the emails below indicate eventually you will be asked to link your credit card account to their bogus "Corporate Account". This is where I stopped.

Emails, Sorted from oldest to most recent (at bottom). Note: These are not all the emails, just the ones I felt are relevant.

Subject: Re: To Patrick from Axel. CS #6.

Good morning Mr.Tronnier,

How is your day going so far? CS #5 has been checked and your grade is A, great! Here is a new one for today.
I spoke to Training team yesterday, they are very satisfied with results of your casework.
I assume, you are one of the most promising candidates to take the position according to the feedback I got lately.
Also, we had a conference call with European HQ this week and spoke about the status of office opening in your area.
It seems that team of seniors will be relocating to the regional office pretty soon.
Even though the office lease agreement has been signed already and office is fully set with furniture, the office equipment is still missing.
Now, we are looking for a candidate who can assist us with procuring office equipment for the new office before team of seniors arrive.
I recommended you as a candidate to take this extra task. Mainly, we are looking for a candidate who will perform following duties in addition to casework:
- locate and purchase required office electronics for brand new regional office in your area (desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and etc.);
- deliver the equipment to the office using third-party carrier services;
- meet with the team of Technicians on-site to oversees the equipment set up (will take place in 3 weeks from now);
- meet the Senior Project Management team at the office once they arrive.

The project terms are as follows.
1. Since you will be completing this project in addition to casework, you will be compensated for your time and effort.
Compensation will be added to your base pay for the probationary period of $2,000.00. The amount of compensation will depend on the project budget.
2. There will be a need to spend not more than 2-3 hours a week to work on purchase and shipment of equipment.
This time can be spent during workweek or on the weekend, it's up to you.
3. We are speaking about the purchase of 5 to 10 units, this will be a small project.
4. We do have a list of equipment and vendors already, your main objective will be to select local vendor and execute purchase/shipment.
5. Project funding will be provided by Finance Department. There are no out of pocket expenses for you and funds will be provided upfront.
6. Under the agreement you've signed previously, you can engage in any extra work assigned by the company per 1099 form (Clause 4.1).
This means that you can accept the offer without signing additional papers.

At this point, we are ready to provide bank guide, purchase order and further details for your review.
If you accept the offer, HQ will start the on-boarding process sooner. And you will become FT employee by the end of the probationary period.
Awaiting your acceptance. Let me know if you have questions.
Have a good day.

Subject: Re: To Patrick from Axel. CS #7.

Hello Mr.Tronnier,

Hope you are doing well this morning!
Case has been graded and you got another excellent grade, an A again!
Please find attached CS #7. Just about an hour ago I got additional details from Finance Department pertaining to project funding.
You will have to complete several steps in order to get funds for the project.

Step #1: upon receipt of corporate bank account details, you have to use the corporate account as a payment source to one of your existing credit cards;
Step #2: then, you have to initiate fund transfer from the corporate bank account to your credit card;
Step #3: finally, after the funds are deposited to your credit card, you have to purchase the equipment per the purchase order.
Then, deliver it to the corporate office where it will be stored until the local office opens.
NOTE: we are speaking about the purchase of 4 to 6 units per purchase order and PO budget not exceeding $6,000.00.

Please find attached the bank guide, which explains how to initiate the fund transfer to your credit card.
The guide is based on a JP Morgan Chase banking system as this is the bank of our choice.
Instructions are pretty generic and will work even if your card is through another bank.
So there is no need to use a Chase Bank card for this process, you can use any available credit card which accepts online transfers from a checking account.
As you can see, you will be working with online banking system, which guarantees you full security.
And again, NONE of your personal information will be involved in the process.
As we start the project, you will receive funds first and only after that complete the purchase.
As soon as I get a confirmation from you that everything is clear, I'll request additional details and instructions.
Meanwhile, I'd like you to take a look at the guide attached to make sure you understand the process.
We do have guides for few other banks available upon request.
If everything is clear for you, then please submit a request for bank account details and purchase order.
If there is a need to discuss anything on the phone, let me know.
Have a good day.

Subject: Re: To Patrick from Axel. Additional details.

Mr.Tronnier,

Thank you for the follow up.
I will be requesting project guides this noon and will be emailing them to you today or tomorrow at the latest.
I have also received a detailed explanation from Finance Department regarding the use of your personal credit card on a temporary basis, see below.

First, having a credit card is a requirement.
Please note that we are not asking for your personal information or credit card details, nor we are asking you to purchase anything with your own funds.
There is a need to use a credit card due to the fact, that corporate account can be enrolled to a credit card only.
You will use corporate bank account as a payment source to your credit card, and transfer funds to a credit card to cover cost of purchase.
Your card will be used on a temporary basis, as at the end of the probationary period you will be getting a corporate business credit card.
We're expecting first batch of cards to arrive in 3 weeks from now.
As of now, you have to use your personal credit card as a card, to which you will be transferring corporate funds.

Second, there is a need to verify that the card you have, is a credit card.
It is important that the card you will be using is, in fact, a major credit card.
A debit card will not work for the process as well as prepaid card, debit/credit card or a checking account.
A transfer to such card will not work and it will be rejected by our bank.
The best will be to use a card with an outstanding balance, as this way you will be able to transfer funds upfront.
Otherwise, you can use a card with zero balance, or even a maxed out card. Just make sure that the card is active.
Also, there is a credit limit requirement, it must be at least $2,000.00, as this is the minimal amount of purchase to be made.

Lastly, transfer to a personal credit card is a temporary solution.
As I've previously stated, you will be getting corporate business credit card in 3 weeks.
Until then, we would like you to utilize your personal credit card to transfer corporate funds to it.
Once we get corporate business credit cards, all further purchases will be done through them.

Anyway, if everything is clear for you and you are ready to proceed, please send me a quick follow up, so I can request further guides.
If you still need more information or have any questions, let me know.

P.S. I have not yet spoken to the HQ pertaining to revised casework. I've reviewed the material briefly and you made an excellent job.
I will talk to them later next week regarding remaining cases and will keep you in the loop.

Subject: Re: To Patrick from Axel. Project guides.

Mr.Tronnier,

I have the project guidelines and instructions for you. Our bankers suggest that if you initiate the fund transfer today, you will get funds the next day.
Check out the guide for details on how to initiate the fund transfer first.
You've been enlisted as an authorized user of this account limited to request the project amount.
You need to log in to your credit card online, and transfer funds from the corporate bank account to a credit card.
Attached, you will find the bank guide with details explaining how to initiate an online fund transfer.
I am also attaching the purchase order and corporate bank account details with list of instructions.
Please review and proceed accordingly. As soon as you set up the corporate bank account, you can start project execution.
Let me know if you have issues with setting up the account.

Pertaining to the shipment of units purchased.
HQ indicated that the IT Department will have to install corporate PM software on all units; including phones, desktops and laptops.
The PM software will connect all gadgets to a global PM database that will ease instant access to corporate projects – both domestically and internationally.
With the IT Department being located in CA, there will be a need to ship units to CA. They will install the PM software and send units to the new US office.
We've already checked with our bankers today, and your name appears to be on the account. Hence, you have been granted authorization for 2 weeks.
If you are not able to complete the project before the due date, access to the account will be prolonged.
Once you verify the bank account as the source of payment to the credit card, ensure that you are transferring the correct amount.
The amount of transfer should not exceed the outstanding balance on your card and the daily spending limit of the corporate account ($7,000.00 per day).
The transaction will be invalid for a credit card with zero balance. Check the instructions guide for further details.
Make an effort of confirming with us when you get the instructions and initiate the fund transfer.
The bank guide attached is generic but the process is easy to understand.
All you have to do is to access your credit card online and set up corporate bank account as the source of payment to a card by inputting the account and routing numbers.
All you need is to pay off the statement (outstanding) balance on the card with the corporate account, and then use the payoff amount towards making the purchase.
The compensation is already included in the purchase order which will be paid separately via direct deposit.

P.S. We recommend you using Costco or BestBuy as a primary vendor for a physical purchase (in-store).
As an online vendor you can use Adorama or Amazon.

A "Brenda" person emailed me from "Borrelli Tech LLC" about a project manager position paying very high ($86,000.00 - $91,000.00 per year) but didnt require a bachelors and 3 years of experience was preferred. (see below)

So I was already suspicious but I had just applied for a ton of PM positions so I responded. She then scheduled a phone interview at 920AM and in the email it was noted "As the interview is based upon pre prepared questions, any questions that you may have with regards to the position will be dealt with at a later date and on another scheduled call." This I also found suspicious because what kind of employer wants to interview candidates but doesnt want them to ask about the position. Anyway, against my better judgement I had the phone interview and was asked generic interview questions and was told that they would let me know if I would move on to the next step after the rest HR team reviewed my application. So then I get an email saying that I got the job (at this point I dont even know what the job is!) and the following statement "you will be contacted by the Sr. HR Manager pertaining to the next step. She will be sending you additional paperwork and more information on the process. Pertaining to the paperwork, today you will be getting Employment Agreement which covers the month of paid probationary period.

This needs to be signed and returned to the Sr. HR Manager. If for some reason you do not hear from the Sr. HR Manager today, then please get in touch with her directly, see details below:

Sr. HR Manager: Lori Hungate

Phone number: (617) 963-0184

E-mail address: [email protected]"

At this point I knew this was a scam, who sends an employment agreement before even telling someone what the job is, without meeting them in person. Then it gets worst!

Then this Lori person emailed me with the following:

"Please find attached Employment Agreement and Formal Job Description.

Formal Job Description covers key terms of the position and the probationary period. Employment Agreement describes terms of the probationary period and further FT employment.

Please note that all reporting during the probationary period will be done on a remote basis through the MA office.

An office opening in your area has been scheduled already, see below.

Date of opening: 6/1/20

Location of the office: 1101 Brickell Ave, Miami, FL 33131 (telecommute)

To sign up for the probationary period, please complete as follows:

1. Review papers attached. Read the Job Description and the Employment Agreement.

2. Make sure you do understand the process and all your data is correct. If you notice a typo, let me know.

3. Print out the last page of the Employment Agreement, sign it, scan it and send it back to me over the e-mail.

Faxed copies are no longer accepted, if you are not able to scan the signed copy, a photocopy will suffice.

4. Upon receipt of your signed last page, I will send you a confirmation e-mail and complete work plan with list of instructions related to the probationary period.

5. We will be launching 2 groups, one on Wednesday and the other one on Friday.

At the moment we have an opening with a group starting on 4/13/20. If this date is suitable, please let me know. Otherwise an alternative date will be proposed.

If you have questions, do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Aside from the obvious, where no real company would employ someone theyve never met, the agreement was basically a word document that they added signature lines to at the end, it isnt even formatted as an agreement.

I dont know what SCAM they have going or for what purpose they are trying to fake hire people but at the end of the day, these scammers are wasting people's time. People who are in legit need of a job. They are praying on vulnerably job seeking people and giving them false hopes and potentially scamming them out of something. It's borderline evil.

Beware!
