I contacted a man name Rodney Terry via teams and his email address is [email protected]. He had me go through an interview of questions and stated I was hired based on my answers then he proceeded to tell me the next steps of employment. For instance, they would send me the equipment and I would start training in two weeks. He sent me employment papers on Friday August 11, 2023 at 8am where I had to fill out an application (BOSCH application looked legitimate), the W4 Form, Agreement letter, etc. He now has my address, ss#, dob, license and signature. All for a criminal to use in any scam. On Friday It took me a few hours to prepare the documents to send via email to [email protected]. Around 12pm he told me they couldn't send me the equipment because it was too late and I will have to purchase the equipment through their vendor. He indicated via teams they will be sending me a check. I received a check on Wednesday August 16, 2023 at 11am for $8600. I created a checking account with Huntington Bank to deposit the funds. Once the check was deposited into the checking account, the bank placed an 7 days hold on the account. They notified me that the funds for the check was not there and it would take a few days to come. Rodney notified me that I had to purchase a VOIP to for the training next week and I would need to purchase an apple card of $50 from Walmart to obtain the VOIP. I went to Walmart on August 16, 2023 and purchased the gift card. He instructed me to send him the picture of the card serial number and activated number. I did what he asked like a crazy person anticipating that I would start the process for the job. The next day, August 17, 2023 Rodney Terry contacted and he asked me how long was the hold on the account and I told him 7 days. He continue to ask me that for the next 2 days and each day I will tell him the same thing.. On Friday August 18, 2023 he asked me the following [Friday 3:53 PM] Rodney Terry

This is when I told him to stop contacting me and blocked him on Teams. I placed alerts to all the credit agencies, life lock, social security administration and the BOSCH corporation. I also placed notification on Facebook, Reddit and LinkedIn about this shady character. This person has to be stopped.</[email protected]>
