Boxer Puppies For Adoption Reports & Reviews (1)

- Westfield, MA, USA • Jun 27, 2024

I initially encountered Rebecca Machado at a web site entitled Boxer Puppies For Adoption Near Me.. I personally emailed her to get some information about whether she had female, health of parents, where she was located and if the puppies had any training. She told her she charged $800 for the puppies. I told her that was a little steep for me and we agreed upon $600. I mentioned that I had just had 2 bad experiences with on line breeders and she assured me of her legitimacy and referred me to reviews she has gotten from previous buyers. (I now question who really wrote those reviews and who posted them.). She sent me pictures and I chose a puppy. We moved on to payment. She said I would be required to pay a $200 deposit and that she would be sending me a contract to sign. She also requested full names, phone #, house address, and email as well as If I had chosen a puppy name. She said she accepted payments vis Cash App, Apple Pay, and Chime. Toldher I am only familiar with PayPal. She then suggested I could go to a CVS or Walmart to get Apple Cards (1st red flag). Told her no credit cards and we proceed with PayPal. she provided me with an email address and insisted I only use the Friends and Families choice. (red flag). I am not computer savvy so this whole process was extremely stressful. I finally got the payment for the deposit to go through but she insisted on a screen shot of the payment confirmation. When I finally figured out how to do a screenshot she said she would forward the contract. Upon receipt I read it over and found that the agreed upon payment had reverted to $800. Contacted her and told her of the error and she said she would send a correct page.(red flag - never received page). She told me to sign the contract but I pointed out there was no way to do an electronic signature.(red flag). I actually went online with an electronic signature app and signed up so I could return the document to her. Then she hit me up for the balance payment. Same torturous experience for me with PayPal and suggestions to go get Apple Cards. For final payment she gave me a different email address to send the payment to (red Flag.). We agreed on a delivery date for when I returned from vacation in a week. After returning from vacation (NAME) told me she had just got the puppy registered for me and I would be hearing from them soon. Registered for what? For the first time in this whole process I came to realize that she had registered the dog with a shipping company. All this time I was led to believe the dog would be driven to us. Not so. She was suppose to be delivered by Global Logistics Zone. I certainly did hear from them. They told me new laws required that the puppy must be transported in an air conditioned crate. The prices to rent or purchase the crate depended on which one you chose, Deluxe $3000, Mid grade $2000 and acceptable $1000 (huge red flag). If you chose to just rent you would be refunded 98% in cash upon delivery of the dog.(What? red flag). They too wanted immediate payment in Apple Cards.(red flag). When I questioned (NAME) is she knew about this her response was "Oh, this came up unexpectedly because of the weather conditions which they can't deliver at the moment and you have nothing to worry about because that's the delivery company which we have been working with for years now and yes as they said the money will be fully refunded in cash once they arrive and you have absolutely nothing to worry about. They are doing everything for a safe delivery of the puppy." All this going back and forth took place over several days. I actually was stupid enough to try to go to CVS and purchase the cards but thankfully for the manager who asked me what I was using them for. He asked if he could read the back and forth texts and begged me not to continue. He even looked up the transport company and found out there is no such thing as Global Logistics Zone. I contacted (NAME) and told her I had to walk away because I was no longer comfortable with the legitimacy of this entire transaction. Many emails went back and forth with her trying to guilt and shame me into continuing. I had finally smartened up and googled the legitimacy of (NAME)and found negative reviews. When I brought them to her attention I heard nom more from her. I did notice today she has once again posted her email with boxer puppies available for adoptions. People BEWARE. Don't be stupid like me..
