We fell for a facebook puppy dog scam by 1 of the 3 administrators in the group. My family lost $150 a few days ago. If u look at the fake puppy delivery posts on facebook they all look the same. Amy Granillo and Jean Caroll are the only two people that are named as breeders in the posts, they are praised for finding these dogs their "forever homes." In the one post, the alleged customer calls Mrs. Jean Caroll, a "he" several times so it's someone that does not understand english very well or is using google translate possibly. Even the name of the facebook group "Boxer Puppies Searching For A Lovely Family" is a translation error, they meant a Loving Family. Amy Granillo is a famous Canine Nutritionist across the country from me but this person claims to be her and she is in whatever state is close to u. New Jersey is close enough to drive to and that's what "she" led us to believe at first, that for the $150 deposit and then $450 more when she delivered the puppy. There's MANY Amy Granillo facebook profiles in Florida and California of the same person that are loaded with these pictures (which was copied from the real Amy Granillo's Instagram) being delivered to their new forever home. Then, after getting the deposit they said i had to rent a live animal crate from Fedex for $500-1,000 but when i called the Fedex Live Animal helpdesk customer service number they state that they ONLY deliver birds, fish, and reptiles. They specifically state no dogs or cats. This person had a fake contract with ******** ****** Animal Services and a fake Fedex company number #************. I used Google maps satellite image to look at her supposed house and its a run down inner city dwelling with no dog kennels so how does "she" get rid of sooo many boxer puppies of different ages all supposedly from the same litter of pups. The cashapp name that is supposedly her son's, where i sent the $150, but is a female name Kaila and the tag is $KaiT519 But the name on the account I couldn't even begin to pronounce, it was an African name with a lot of single and double consanants, but barely any vowels, I can try to figure out how to find the person's name again if it helps. My mom tried to send through Zelle first, then Paypal, they wouldn't authorize it so seeing my mom heartbroken (cuz our boxer passed 2 months ago) I attached her bank account to my Cashapp account to finally get it sent. She was happy till the next day. I got a bad feeling when they asked me to screenshot the transaction and send thru messenger. Once the person received the $150 "refundable" deposit...they hide their facebook profile for almost a week and ignored texts and messages but occasionally popped back on asking us to send more money. "She" pulls at your heartstrings and makes u feel guilty by saying the dog is at fedex in a cold crate without any food and that it will be stuck there the whole weekend if u don't send money. They texted my dad from a different phone number than is listed on the fake contract (and that I listed earlier) so I'm going to include that here: (704) 826-4308. My mom set up most of it on facebook messenger to the profile Amy Granillo and then my dad texted with someone a lot and later spoke with a man. The person claiming to have the dog called my dad asking him to send more money, he said it was a man, not a woman and that he had a foreign accent that sounded African. I copied most of this from a post I tried to post on the group anonymously but they won't approve and post it, sorry if its hard to follow.
