Type of a scam Healthcare/Medicaid/Medicare

A male caller with a heavy Indian accent called my elderly mother when I happened to be there. The man claimed that he needed more information to process my mother's knee and back brace. My mother could not understand the man on the phone and told him that her daughter was there and would like him to talk to her (me). I asked what the call was in regards to and from what company was he calling. He told me it was for my mother's back and knee brace that Medicare has paid for. I asked him the name of the company and he told me it was "Brace Partners" I told the man that we did not order any such braces and that he needed to remove mt mother's phone number from his call list. He then kept telling me that the braces have already been paid for by Medicare and he just needed more information to process the claim and then get them to her. At this point I asked him what doctor ordered these braces. He said they have many doctors that they work with. I immediately told the man that it is fraudulent for a doctor to order DME for a patient he/she has never met. I explained to to him that I know he cannot bill Medicare for any equipment that has not been ordered by a physician and that my mother's physician did not order any such items. I also told him what he is doing is not only unethical, but illegal and I was going to report him to the BBB and CMS. At this point the man became argumentative and asked me how old I was. I told him my age was irrelevant and that any "orders" that he thinks he may have need to be canceled. He again told me Medicare has already paid for the braces and asked what he was supposed to do with them. I told him that since I was reporting this company name (which by the way does not come up in any google searches) as well as the number from which he was calling to Medicare and the BBB as fraudulent, soif he did in fact receive money from Medicare, that he had best refund it because what he was doing was complete fraud and last I checked, Illegal. At that point, he hung up on me.
