A door to door salesman, elderly, portfolio of promotional item catalogs in hand, sells you and order and takes a check for down-payment and then disappears. The same person, who has run this scam under two business names that I can find, takes money for a down on an order and then disappears. The phone number is the same and the name is the same. The company names have been: "Ad's 4 U" and "Branded Promotions" Mr. Cliff Derbes "sells" silk screening and embroidered products as well as pens and other "give away" items. The phone number is (424) 703-2875. I have found two other companies that have been scammed by him so far. Unless you post his name, no one will be able to track him since he uses different fake company names.
