I had the most awful experience the last 2 days. It started ok. I found an adorable great dane puppy on Bray great dane website. It looked legit. A lot of info, the guy asked me all about our family. He seemed to really care. He asked me to pay through zelle. While I was waiting for the payment to process I asked to see the pup through FaceTime, he said he didn't know what that was. That was my first redflag.
After he got his payment, communications really began to slow down. She was suppose to arrive the next day. He would never answer my calls barely answered my texts. I then received an email saying she could not get on the flight unless I sent another $850! That's when I knew for sure I was being scammed. He said he didn't have the right type of crate since covid?! and then tried to threaten me with abandoning the dog if I didn't pay the money. What an absolutely horrible experience! If they want openly communicate on the phone, show you the dog live on video, show records, DON'T DO IT!

This is a website that I came across using the website "Puppy Finder". It looks like a legit website for a Great Dane breeder that is selling puppies. I put my information in showing interest in a puppy. They contacted me by e-mail and by text message. They sent me more pics of the puppy that I was interested in and even had a short video of a few of the puppies. I was very interested in purchasing this puppy and he said he would ship puppy from Dallas, Texas to my nearest airport. He sent me a legit contract with all of the information on it. He started telling me how to pay to get it started. He wanted me to pay through PayPal first, but his account had a foreign name as the account holder. Then he asked me to use Zelle to pay. That account had a different name on it. He also told me that I could do a pre-paid American Express like you would see in some stores. He wanted me to load the amount for the puppy on it, scratch off the pin number on back, and take a picture of both sides of card. I called to talk to this person in person to see what kind of vibe I got from this guy. There was a high pitch tone noise on phone the whole time. I was speaking to a foreign man. He said he could send his driver's license by text if it would make us feel more comfortable. He took a picture of both sides of a driver's license and text to me. The picture was a white American male on the driver's licence with the last name Bray. I told him that this wasn't his drivers license. Be aware of this scam, because he is very good and almost got my money. I had another friend that he almost got as well. Be careful!
