Type of a scam Charity
Indiana resident received a phone call stating breast cancer awareness and wanted to get money categorized in
Gold, Silver, and Bronze, $50, $30, and $20 respectively. The phone number shown was 317-489-3976.
When asked if OK for $20, she started to want to get charity money by phone.
Requested a letter. Then she pushed for me to say yes to her question of "Is $20 OK?"
Donor again said again, please send by mail. Then she pressed again, so donor told her "I just want to make sure it's legit."
The lady said thank you for your support and hung up the phone.

After saying I would support the charity by giving my color for the level of support, she "transferred" me to a "quality control" person who confirmed my level of support by asking me "You said silver is your level of support. Is that correct." I said "yes" and then the person asked me to confirm my zip code. I asked the person a question and I realized it was a recorded (male) voice. I hung up. Tricky.
