Our elderly neighbor (that we help with household services) was contacted by phone by Breatheasy Ventilation. She was told what she needed them to do and when they would be there to do the work. She does NOT need any of the services that they very forcefully demanded that she needed. They started with a "Free" chimney sweep that she does NOT need or want (because my husband does it for her 2x a season). They invited themselves into inspect her "dangerous" heating system and made her very concerned for her own safety by filling her mind with untruths about how the system works and what could happen to her. (Again my husband does this work for her and maintains her systems with her permission and in agreement with her family.) When they arrived they assumed they could just come in and do whatever they wanted. They were not invited to come look at anything. Not invited or ask to do an estimate and not even to do the free cleaning service of the chimney. She did not agree to anything and yet they came and were ready to do the work. My husband showed up and they left very quickly, barley even speaking to him and just getting back in their van and backing out of the driveway. I feel that this company was manipulating our neighbor and would have charged her for work/service that she clearly DOES NOT need! Please beware! They were very well versed in what to say to convince her that she was in danger and she NEEDED them.
