On the day of June 9, 2024, I was emailed about a Virtual Assistant position that paid $500 weekly. I filled out the application (Microsoft Form) the same day and i was contacted the next day by a man named Jim Carter, who said he's from the company: DLC Resources Landscape. He explained how he was looking for a virtual assistant and how by my application, i was a good candidate. He asked for my name, the bank I use, phone number and my address, however i didn't feel comfortable giving away my address but the other information i told him. The following day, he told me my task: Buying toys and gifts for orphanage homes because he donates. He said i wouldnt have to use my money to buy the items, he would virtually send me a check and i would have to mobilely deposit it. He sent me the check, I printed it out but I thought it was suspicious so i didnt deposit it. He contacted me (through email) asking if I printed the check yet and I still had a bad feeling about the situation so I ignored his message. Then he texted me asking again if i printed out the check. My parents told me it sound like a scam. Dont deposit anything into your account.
