This scammer has a website which claims to have pure jack russell puppies and that they can ship them to you. The scammer sent pictures of puppies and asked for a total of $850 for one of the pups we were interested in. The person asked for a deposit of $400 to start the paperwork and asked us to venmo the money to a yahoo address as it was the quickest way to get the process started. Once we completed the deposit, the person started texting saying we need to buy a special crate to ship the pup and that the crate cost was 100% refundable. He gave options for $1800, $1000 and $600 for the crate fees. When we started asking for paperwork he stopped interacting with us. Repeated attempts asking to cancel and refund our payment has received no responses. We reached out to Venmo, Yahoo and Namecheap ( which is hosting the website) companies to report the abuse. All of them said they could not do anything to get our money back. We have reported the crime on ic3.gov and also plan to file a local police complaint. At this point we want this scammer to be caught and see if our money can be returned. As of this morning the website is still operating without any issues and comes up in Google ads at the top. It is a shame that such a scammer is allowed to perpetrate crime and all these tech companies are supporting this.
