Looking for Boxer puppy, found website thru internet search for "boxer puppies for sale" . Contacted Brighton Boxers (website - Brightonboxers.com ) and made inquiry thru their web site contact page for information about puppy. Entire website appeared legitimate, information on puppy pick up or the puppy delivery service they used, Photos of parent dogs and previous litters. Received email response along with more photos of the puppy we were interested in. Decided on puppy and made arrangements to send a deposit of $300.00 thru Zelle. Received verification that deposit had been received and puppy was placed on hold. Up to this point had no misgivings about transaction and was able to access website until 3 days after deposit placed. Now unable to access said website and upon further investigation see that there is another complaint lodged against Brighton Boxers for similar issue. Have emailed and texted with no reply . Contact person for transaction went by name Sean Wright.

I am looking for a boxer puppy for my wife for Christmas. I entered a google search and www.brightonboxers.com came up. It looked legitimate at first. They sent me a contract for the dog that I was interested in, along with 20 pictures that were "taken recently." They claimed that the dog was healthy, with up to date shots, etc. - the whole nine yards. During the email and phone exchange, they said that they could ship the puppy ("Benny") from VA to Maine in two days in time for Christmas and that I would have to pay in full beforehand.

I asked for their business's physical address because I had a gut feeling it was too good to be true. He emailed me the following:

I went on google maps and noticed that the real house was vinyl siding and is near a river, but the pictures that he sent to me of Benny was in the backyard of a brick house with no river in sight. I emailed him back requesting that he snap a quick selfie or get a live picture of him and Benny standing in front of the house, and he said: "I don't have time to do that, the pictures I sent were from two days ago." I responded, "When will you have time?" And he never wrote back.

I never sent any money but I'm sure he's fooled a lot of people.
