This company advertises a toy called "Stackrobats" for young children. An ad for the product was posted on Facebook, and there are many positive comments and inquiries attached. There are also many (hundreds) of positive reviews on the website from which you can purchase the product. There are no negative reviews posted at all; the lowest review is a 4/5. There is also a "30-day money back guarantee" advertised.
When the item arrived, it was much smaller than pictured, and the quality was very poor. It appears to be made of solid plastic material in the video, but each figurine is actually made of two pieces of cheap molded plastic that have been poorly pressed together. The figurines do not come printed with designs, as they appear in the ad. Instead, the package includes stickers that you have to apply to each figurine yourself. The product was not as advertised.
I posted negative reviews on Facebook and on the website, and discovered that these were promptly deleted.
It is difficult to get in touch with the company to receive a refund. I sent an email and immediately received an automatic reply suggesting that I get in touch via the company's online "Helpdesk." When I did so, I received another form letter explaining that I would need to send pictures to prove that the item was damaged or unsatisfactory, and then may be granted a refund, but that I would have to pay the return postage myself before I could receive that refund. I don't trust that this company will actually issue me a refund, so I will not be paying more money to send the item back. I suspect that many others have faced the same dilemma, which is likely how the company thrives.
While I did receive an item from this company, I paid $40 CDN for a product that I wouldn't have paid more than $10 for if I'd seen it in person beforehand. I'm frustrated and concerned that there doesn't appear to be a way to warn others about this product.
