We got a call from a woman that said someone claiming to work at our office with a phone number that matched one of our secondary numbers called her to tell her that we had a data breach and needed credit card number to pay a overdue balance that her father had with us. He had not been a patient with us in 30 years. We have not had a data breach to our knowledge. Before we call a patient about over due balances, we mail out multiple statements
