I got a text message the other day from "Timothy Brown". The text said I could earn up to $500 per mystery shopper job. I sent the text back showing interest. He then sent me an email with his name and underneath Brown Services LLC. He said they were looking to hire me as a mystery shopper. All I had to do was send him my name, phone#, email, mail address. I sent him this info. He got back to me this morning and said I was hired and they would be sending me a cheque for $500 and once I received the cheque I was to go to the bank and cash it and then let him know once it was deposited and they would send me my assignment to go to one of the banks he mentioned in the email and do an evaluation as they had been reported as giving poor service to customers. The original area code he texted me from was 902 which is NS or PEI. I went on ScamPulse.com but could not find this company. I *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** as it named 4 legit companies who work out of Canada. I also found it suspect that he did not have a link to their website in the email if a legit company. I sent him an email back and told him I would not be cashing cheque unless he sent me legal proof of their business based on my previous research of the company which looks scammish.
