I was looking online for an English Bulldog puppy and reached out to this one. He sent a contract to electronically sign and stated he could have the puppy shipped within 24 hours. I explained I was going out of town for the weekend so would not be able to pick her up from the airport until Tuesday. I paid $800.00 for her, then got an email from a "pet crate company" saying that I need to pay them $996.00 plus $30.00 to have her shipped in an airline approved crate due to weather conditions. This company was US Pets services ([email protected]) I was told the $996.00 would be reimbursed immediately upon delivery/receipt of the puppy, most likely in cash. I was thrown off a little. I thought the seller should have told me about this in one of his emails. I emailed the seller (Awwal Harmoun) that I was not expecting this extra cost, refundable or not, but get paid on Thursday and could make the payment at that time. He responded "Please ensure you confirm with me first about the Zelle before sending the payment okay. So once you are ready to send the payment let me know first let me confirm before you send it"

I tried looking up the courier/crate company and couldn't find much information so I called United Airlines directly and asked them if they had heard of such a thing. He tried looking them up, and even asked his supervisor. He came back online and said it was a scam. I am uploading the documents that were emailed to me from the "crate company."

I have emailed the seller and demanded a full refund - I know I won't get it but at least he knows I did some research. I am only sorry that I didn't do it prior to sending the initial money.
