My 92 year old mother received a phone call from a woman by the name of Joanne Cambell claiming she was from Medicare and needed to verify information. She asked my mother to spell her last name and then asked if her mailing address was correct which my mother replied yes. I immediately became concerned by hearing my mother's responses and asked to speak to the caller. The woman with an Asian accent identified herself as calling from Medicare in Philadelphia, Pa. She provided her ID # as 00505. I told her I had never heard of Medicare calling to verify information. I asked her for her phone # and name. She asked if I would prefer she mail the requested information and I replied yes. I called the phone # she provided 484-483-3131 which was American Pain Associates. The phone # which appeared on the caller ID was 302-121-5764 a nonworking #.
