and because I was unsure of how legitimate this was I went to my bank and deposited the check there hoping it would be real but knowing it was too good to be true and that in any case, it would just bounce because my bank has a great security system. The check was put on hold for 7 days before it could be cleared so that it could go through security and I went to speak to the branch manager the next day and he had confirmed my suspicions. This was all a scam to make me be in debt for $3000+. I had a good history with my bank so they wouldve let me process it but a check doesn't fully clear until 1-3 weeks after its deposited and therefore I would have received the money and sent the rest but after the weeks passed the check would have bounced and that money deducted from my account.
