Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

This person hacked a fb account of a friend and messaged my husband recommending a grant he supposedly received, but with a $1000 in amazon gift cards as a processing and mailing fee. He fell for it and texted him pics of the amazon gift cards with the uncovered codes and the scammer used them immediately. Of course when I got home he told me and I realized he had been scammed. Callled Amazon but they could not do anything about it the name of who used the cards is Emmanuel P Mejilla or Emmanuel P Mejia and this is the pitch:

Hello my name is AGENT tony Parker .I work for bush government grant.i will like to know why you contact me .if you are here for the on going Bush government grant reply with a capital YES.

Firstly i will like to explain to you what the program is all about. We need you here
