Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
During my first phone call, I spoke with someone named either Scott or David. He calls his company “new wave funding,” and said my company needs to be doing $10,000 in monthly revenue in order to qualify for the loan. He told me he will need to see bank records to verify our gross sales. I said that isn't possible since the CEO passed away in December 2014, and I no longer have access to any records. He said he was sorry we can't qualify and hung up.
I called back to speak with someone else because I had the feeling they were not being honest -- after all, the letter states they will guarantee the funds! The second gentleman said we need to be making $8,000-10,000 in gross sales in order to qualify. He was condescending in how he spoke to me, as if he didn't think I understood finance or business. I have had my own company, so I had very little patience for his tactics. I told him that it felt as if they were doing a bait-and-switch and that I was going to report them. He said he would relay my dissatisfaction to their market manager, and I hung up.
