Rana ***** called saying she was with RCI, the timeshare management company, with a special offer for new timeshare owners. She explained that many corporations book conference trips to Orlando through RCI and use timeshare owners’ weeks. We could purchase up to 6 weeks (but only this one time as new owners) for $300 for each week and she would sell the weeks to corporations for $1600 each. We would make $9600 minus the $1800 we paid as the owner’s discounted fee. We paid first, then within 60-90 days, we would receive offers. She gave us her number to call so that she could arrange the sales herself and we wouldn’t have to do a thing. When the sales were complete, she would call to arrange the money to be direct deposited into our account.
