November I applied for a "Packaging Genius" position (basically a shipping clerk work from home) for a company that had a job listing on Indeed.com. I was contacted around the 20th of that month by a woman representative named Anna. She asked me a few questions, explained the job, and I was almost immediately accepted for it. She had me sign a contract, fill out a W-4, and send in a photo of myself holding my driver's license. I'm then instructed that the accounting team will be reaching out to me to set up my payment info. I also received emails the following day from Francis Jackson, who was allegedly my "manager", stating two other "supervisors" I would be communicating with. Their names were Henry Long, and Larry Trid. I spoke to them all on the phone at one point (separate times) as they explained the job more to me. They seemed fine and were friendly to speak with. I started working right away as packages started appearing at my home the following Monday. I was called almost every day in December from one of those managers following up on whatever was on my dashboard (the system they had me login to every day). They told me in the beginning before I accepted the job, that the first paycheck would be in a month, with the following checks after that being bi-weekly. I've never had a job do that, but I've heard some companies will do monthly paychecks. The date was "set" on my dashboard for my pay date to be 12/30/23. I worked hard and did everything correctly and timely for the entire month. We were told we'd get a bonus for each package sent out on time as well, which I started to accrue. On Friday 12/29/23, I received a call from Francis, telling me since it was Saturday and no one was in the office, I wouldn't be getting paid until the next business day. Which, because of it being New Years that Monday, that was pushed to Tuesday. 1/2/24 I was supposed to be paid, and I texted Francis that morning asking what time the payments get processed, because I still had not received it yet. I got no response back. I texted Henry as well (the supervisor) and got no response. Later in the day around 4:30pm, I called Henry and left a message. No response back. There was a section in their system that let me send a message if my managers were not answering, so I did try that and explained the situation, and the only response I got back said "This is noted. Thank you." After that an hour or so went by and I tried to login to the dashboard system again and it kept telling me my login information was incorrect...and it wasn't. They locked me out purposely. I spent my OWN money on supplies for this job, gas to get all over to pick up packages and/or ship them back out, denied other job offers, etc. Now I have no job, no money, and I could lose my place because of this. They list a "address" as an office here in Colorado but I believe that's fake as well. I don't think they are even based in the USA. No one else should have to go through this!! This ruins lives.
