Tried to order shoes online. Sent a DM to the page @koolkly (they keep changing the page name, it was @kool.kiy and something else before). After a couple days they got me on the phone to talk about the order and payment and said they only accept cashapp, apple pay, or zelle. I sent the money on zelle for the shoes- $550. Then he said he needed me to send a confirmation payment for another $550 but that the money wouldn't leave my account that he would hold it until the original money went through. I tried to accept his request for the confirmation, but it wasn't showing up on my account and he kept saying that I haven't accepted it yet. He sent several more requests and started to get angry raising his voice saying I needed to accept the confirmation payment and that the money won't leave my account. I ended up sending 8 confirmation payments not realizing what I had done and that they had all gone through. After a day all the money was out of my account and he said he would send it back, but after 2 weeks there is nothing and I'm sure he is going to keep the money no matter how many times I ask for it back. Including the cost of the shoes that I will never get I lost just under $5,000.
