I applied for this position of "Logistics Manager" on Indeed.com. I received a call and email from the company e-mail and it stated they would like to move forward with an interview. We did a short phone interview and I was called back later that day and told I got the job. The position consisted of receiving packages and then printing out new labels from a CRM system to resend to to another party. I looked online everywhere and could not find anything on this company, no bad reviews, scam information or anything. They promised $2200 after my 30 day period where I sent off around 15 packages. When it was time for payment I was asked to supply them with a w4 and I9 which I did and then they told me my check got mailed instead of the direct deposit I signed up for and I needed to wait for my check, then nothing at all. It has been over 2 weeks since I was supposed to receive payment and the phone numbers all go to voicemail and none of my emails are being answered anymore. I cannot get a hold of anyone and when I visited the onsite shipment location they were supposed to be located at, it was empty. The company website is legit or looks that way and the emails and information provided within the CRM database is professional looking as well. When I looked the company up on BBB.com the sight they say they are located at is owned by CEI and has been since 2009 but there was no other information. This is a scam, and everything may look up to par but it is not. I do not want anyone else falling for this trap if an easy way to make money.

I was contacted by MailDail with an opportunity to work from home with the following responsibilities:
- Working hours are from 9am to 5pm according to your local time, Monday - Friday. You are not required to work on Federal holidays.
- You will use the database as a tool to monitor incoming orders and to download/upload pictures and documents. You will also use the database to keep in contact with me, and with different departments later on. You need to sign in each morning at 9AM and take care of orders and messages.
- You must be available for deliveries at your listed address during working hours. Additionally, you must be easily reachable at the phone number we have on file for you during this time.
- You must log in to the database every 1-2 hours to monitor new and existing orders.
- You must reply to chat messages and emails within 1-2 hours.
- Please process (check, get ready and ship) all the orders on the day of arrival of conveyance, or at the very latest on the following day.
- You must keep all the shipping information updated in the database in a timely fashion.
- You must report any issues, setbacks, or changes to me as soon as possible.
- You should have access to a computer, a printer and a digital camera (a cell phone with a camera is fine). Ideally, you will have access to these devices at home. Alternatively, you can have access to these devices within working hours at a site away from your home, provided you are able to perform all job requirements in a timely manner.
If you do not have access to the required equipment at any point, inform me immediately. I will hold your deliveries until you have made arrangements to access this equipment.
The company is able to reimburse you for the costs of a basic digital camera and a printer. We will not reimburse the cost of a laptop, a desktop computer, or a tablet."
I was told that the first 30 days were probationary and that I would get paid at the end of the 30 days with the amount of $2100 + $50 expense bonus. If I was approved to be hired on full time, I would make $2400 + $100 expense bonus each month.
What I could not wrap my mind around was why packages that were shipped through the postal service were being sent to me only to be re-shipped through the postal service. Why use a 3rd party person in the middle? Then I started reading all these "shipping scams" about stolen goods and goods purchased by stolen credit cards being shipped to a 3rd party so that law no illegal activity would be traced back to the company. When I searched online for any form of legitimacy about MailDail, I came up short.
I emailed MailDail's HR rep as well as my assigned supervisor to provide me with:
1. Company's EIN (Employer Identification Number)
2. Company Reviews by former employees
3. ScamPulse.com rating
4. Social Media links
5. Privacy Policy on what you will do with my ID that I've already sent you
The response back was a termination letter!
They gave me a fake FEIN (33-045-0168) as well as claiming to be registered with ScamPulse.com (which they're not!)
Please, please, please don't fall for this trap! It already makes me nervous that they have a copy of my driver's license, but thankfully nothing else.
