I was offered a high paying position as a remote Video Editor for Caleres Inc. Attached is the job offer letter and initial paperwork. They then proceeded to interview me asyncrhonously through Microsoft Teams and then connected me with my "trainer." Everything seemed legitimate, we discussed what equipment would be provided by the company for the job, the benefits and how I would go about receiving my equipment. They then sent me a check to purchase said equipment which turned out to be fake as my bank immediately flagged it and shut down my account when I tried to make a mobile deposit. I have since tried getting in touch with them and sent a few messages out of anger and frustration for their lies and scam riddled behavior. Attached are the Microsoft Teams accounts of the individuals I was corresponding with.
