a slightly different email than the one they has used to send the initial message. Once I did that they scheduled a meeting right away without asking my availability. I needed to reschedule because I had a conflict. They agreed but didn't follow up with a response that made sense. All of the communications sounded written by ChatGPT, or otherwise oddly worded. I didn't reply after that because so many of the interactions seems very suspicious.
There were just too many red flags -- role compensation was extraordinarily high, the company was in the tech industry and remote but based in a small town in a sparsely state. I still don't know if it's a real company that was used or that the company was fake as well.
