I answered an unknown number from my state’s area code and said “hello”. (No response on other end). Irritated, I again said “hello?!”. Then a man’s voice said something then “(insert my name here) CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?” I said “yes”. I was in a hurry and distracted getting ready to go to an appointment so this caught me off guard. The man then said, “this is Tyler from”. At that moment, realizing it was a recording, not a real person, I hung up. I immediately recalled the online post I had read in the past about a scam of this nature. Now I am worried they have my voice recorded saying “yes”, the “yes scam”. I have read this may or may not actually be a threat to me, but I feel it is. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be wasting their time perpetrating this scam.
