The phone numbers listed have been calls that I have received on my cell phone since 1/27/2017. A person initially asks, "Can you hear me?" The first time I received one of these calls, I immediately said "yes", but now, through news media reports, know to hang up. I'm still receiving the calls daily from different numbers, coming mostly from Virginia Beach, where I live in the summer months. I am monitoring my credit cards and checking account, but do not see anything suspicious yet.

I answered the phone without looking at the number, because I get few calls and was expecting one. The caller introduced himself as Josh from some department and asked if I could hear him. I automatically replied yes, and then remembered my husband's warning about this type of scam. When my husband phoned back, a message said that the survey had ended and that he could remove himself from their calling list. He did not, but hung up.

First call to my cell phone three weeks ago, caller said that she had dropped her headset and asked if I could hear her. I said "yes", and she continued to tell me that because I had recently stayed in one of their (company unknown) resorts, that I was eligible for a free vacation. I hung up because I have NOT stayed in a resort in over 3 years.

Second call, I received today. Same thing, woman says "hello? hello?" and I answer "yes?". She apologizes and says that she dropped her headset. Then she asked if I could hear her. I hung up, remembering that I had seen a news report recently about a scam just like this.

Robocall, called and I couldn't hear; then said Can you hear me now? I said yes not initially remembering the news about the scam.

When I answered the phone there was a long pause and then a robot like voice said "hello" and I said "yes can I help you" and then I hung up because I remembered the article I read regarding the calls where the person on the other end of the phone tries to get you to say "yes" so that they can use your voice to justify charges they have made.

Have been receiving 1 or 2 daily "Can You Hear Me Now" calls for over a week, usually having to do with home warranty sales. This time no one was one line at first, so I got distracted by a personal conversation while waiting. Unfortunately, when a voice suddenly asked for me by name ("Is that you, ***?), I replied "Yes" without thinking. It's so hard not to, even when you're already suspicious! Correct advice is to hang up immediately, but we're getting calls from doctor's offices, etc, with a long delay before a human picks up.
