If I did not call back immediately, there was nothing they could do to help me.
It was mentioned that I may need to contact my lawyer.

When I call back, I am told the same thing. I was going to be arrested for tax fraud.
I asked how I knew he was actually from CRA. He was indignant about that.
I asked him to give me my SIN.
The line went dead.

We received 3 more calls with voice messages and they stopped.
In January and young female called saying they were from the CRA. She had no accent. She said it was concerning an unpaid ambulance bill & that they had sent multiple letters to the home and received no payment. We have not used the ambulance service. As an aside, the ambulance services in BC are provincial not federal. We have had 4 of those calls.
On February 4, 2016 we received an email from the 'CRA' stating they had an email transfer of funds for us to deposit into our account. We have never given them our email address or names. It was from a UK site. We did not deposit any money and have left it on our email display for evidence.
We have changed our email and bank passwords and have antivirus software and are very concerned about this situation. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
