A person hardly able to speak English, phoned and told me I have committed tax fraud and I need to send them money or I will be arrested and sent to jail tomorrow. I asked for their client number and asked to speak to their supervisor. They then hung up on me. They did not leave a number just the number on my call display. And they refused to give me a name.

Received email saying that i had a rebate of $458 still owed to me from 2016. I know revenue canada does not communicate like this so knew instantly it was a scam. Just wanted other people to be aware of it and not fall victim to it.

I received a call on Sunday from a woman claiming to be from the Canadian Revenue Agency conducting a survey on my student loan and my experience using their website. The call lasted 10 minutes and the survey consisted of simple yes/no and 1-5 scale questions. What tip me off as it being a scam was actually the woman laughing as she said goodbye.

Luckily I didn't give out any important information and received no charges for the call itself. I called and confirmed with CRA today that they DO NOT make survey calls. Their surveys are optional ONLY when you call them. The gentlemen made a note of this information along with the phone number: it's 1-844-627-1117. I have googled this number and everything I find has people saying it's a scam. I imagine this was simply a call to test to see if I'm susceptible to falling for a scam - I expect their follow up call sooner or later.

The email was asking me that agency revenu Canada give me 214,77$ and after that ask me my identity my name , address, assurance Social Number, driver liscence, my debit cart *** * *** * *** *** **

Left a voicemail message on our home phone in early May 2016, didn't say which of us the request for info was directed to. Had a Middle Eastern accent of some sort, male caller, claimed his name was Constable Ryan Smith with Canada Revenue Agency. Said tax fraud was suspected with an income tax return and needed to speak with me/us ASAP, or with a lawyer representing our case. Number left with us to call: 844-395-7953.Neither of us responded. Have had two messages on our phone since: female Robocall/automated voice, no accent, recording starting with a case number. Again, no mention of any names living in the household, but still demands to speak with me/us, or with a lawyer. Number to call back is: 613-706-0542. Neither of us has responded.

Received a voicemail message to say that I'm being sued for tax evasion/fraud. So, I should have my Lawyer call back at 855-881-8144.

I received a message from an automated response claiming to be from the Canada Revenue Agency. They said that due to the tax we owe they are putting a lien on our assets. In order to stop this from happening we have to call the number back or they will send a debt collector to the house. I knew immediately that this was a scam as I am a tax professional. I know the CRA would never do it like that and I know hat we don't owe anything.

I also reported this to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501.

Rec'd a call from 844-553-1074 as well as 844-395-7954 and in both cases a recorded voice identified as being with the CRA warned me of being in tax arrears. I was to immediate call back or they would initiate legal action and seize necessary assets.

As I have already rec'd my completed tax assessment for 2015 I knew this was a scam to draw personal information from me.

I had 2 phone calls, both recordings, of a man claiming to be an officer of the Canada Revenue Agency. He was demanding me to call the number provided for a very serious matter. If I don't call he will be forced to get the attorneys involved and it will be very very bad for me.

I happened to have a matter going on at the same time with the real Canada Revenue Agency and got that agent to check his employee data base. Of course there was no such name listed there and it was a scam.

The date of both calls was April 1/16

Repeated automated phone calls from Revenue Canada requesting immediate action for tax arrears or legal action will be taken. Phone # appears to be an actual Ottawa exchange - (613) 927-9584. Message does not ask for a specific household member or provide name of person making the call.

As of today, April 7th 2016, same scam as reported many times already from the Canada Revenue Agency or as the caller, with a jamaican or trinidadian accent put it, the "Revenue of Canada". This was a prerecorded message stating menacingly that I have to contact him as soon as possible or further actions will be taken.

A person claiming he was an officer etc. I was to call him back immediately or else...

This is the phone number that was listed on my caller id which is the same number I was to call back:

613 699 8009

I received a call this morning telling me that it was a police officer telling me they were working for Canada Revenue Agency...They told me there was a warrant out for our arrest for back taxes...I hung up and called the RCMP

I received this email purportedly from the Canada Revenue Agency.
