After posting a car add on Kijiji, the scammer got in touch by text requesting to view the vehicle. Then once we were agreeing on a date/time for viewing, asked if I had a carfax report. I've pulled carfax reports as a buyer before so didn't thing much of it. After telling him that I've never paid for a carfax report as a seller and that it's always the buyers responsibility to pull a report if they want one he insisted I get on from a specific site www.canadavinfast.ca for him to verify information and buy the car. The site brings up an incorrect old carfax report that is not legitimate. after paying $50 dollars.
