I recieved a call from 1-416-275-5671...

It was a "robot" recording that said something along the lines of "Hello, this is the Canada Revenue Agency. You are receiving this call because there is a lawsuit against you due to back-payment of Income Taxes. There will be an Arrest Warrant issued for you and you WILL GO TO JAIL unless you call back IMMEDIATELY.".

I did not call back, I know it is a scam.

Two seperate phone calls Feb 14, 2018. One 10:50 am and second one 4:30 pm. Both were messages and I phoned back to number 647-476-8308. They answered CRA Canada Revenue Agency. I needed to give them my name and address. I knew it was a scam since CRA has that info on my tax forms. These phone calls have already costed other people alot of money.The phone was disconnected after I told them it was a scam and I told them I was going to report them to RCMP. They hung up. At 4:30 they phoned again. These phone calls are not legal and and intrusive. The opening line of the phone call was that I owed money and needed to pay it right away.

A recorded message from "Robert William" from the "CRA" indicated that fraud involving my place of employment has been committed and legal action is being taken. He stated that the legal action could be directed at me personally if I didn't respond immediately.

Someone phoned from this number 2893094303 and said to phone back. I was apparently being charged by CRA for fraud and I was going to be arrested if I did not call back. I phone back and when I told him I had an accountant he hung up. I tried to call back with no answer. I called CRA and they informed me this is a scam call.

The scammer called me, told me that I had not given the government a sufficient amount of tax money, and threatened to press charges and arrest me. They told me to buy vouchers in the form of iTunes gift cards to "prove" to the government that I was willing and able to pay off my debt.
