Called my daughter's phone. But couldn't get a hold of me. Tried to tell me I owed a loan I never got. Threatened with coming to my home and legal proceddings.

I can't confirm this was a scam but something seemed off. Please look into this company. Both my mother and I were contacted by a Sophie W******* at 574-221-3334 telling us a member of our family, **** ****** ********** has a legal case being filed against him. They made it clear neither of us were involved but we had been listed as a possible contact for him and that he may be known to stay with us. We don't have a Dale in our family. I confirmed this with my grandparents.

When I called Sophie back, the number just rang. No voicemail. I called the 855 number, and no one answered with a company name or identified themselves. I asked if this was a scam and they never answered the question. It took me a second time calling them from my moms phone to get her info also taken off this "case" and to get a company name. I did a search and didn't find anything online about this company.

Sophie knew my full name and claims to have my address and obviously has my phone number. Who knows what else. Something about this seems off to me.

I received a call from someone stating that they were a "Compliance Officer calling from the compliance department from the Sandoval County Courthouse" I called to verify the number with local authorities on the RRPD non emergency line but they were unable to find a number from the courthouse with the local number they called from 505-317-6978. I then received a call from my sister and a friend and again at my office stating they were going to file a "location suit" at the Sandoval County Courthouse. I have never heard of this company "Capital Proceedings" (which is what I was told the name of the company was when the call was returned) I have not received any letters or any other kind of contact from them. They would not tell me anything about why they were trying to locate me/ contact me and I'm not sure if this was regarding debt collection or some other type of scam.
