Thought I was using an official DMV website to check a car history on a vehicle I was considering purchasing through a private party. I paid the $1 for a single report and it game me some information on the car. Thankfully I used my credit card that I always keep locked. I only unlocked it for this small purchase. Now every month since, carhistoryusa.com has tried to charge my card again for $28.95. My card rejects it because it is locked, so that is good, but I get a notice every time they try. So wrong. I never signed up for anything. I agreed to the $1 original file and really they were just using that to get credit information from people and then continously trying to charge those cards.
