Francis Cusamino, owner of A+ towing, is also in the business of selling cars. Francis sold me a 2008 Jeep liberty in July of 2024. Francis title hopped the car from a dealership to me and I was unable to register this car without a bill of sale. He asked the dealership for a bill of sale to which they denied him so he decided to forge one. When I went back with the bill of sale to register the car, the DMV had told me there was a mechanical storage lien on the car. Francis promised to fix this issue and if he could not follow through within a 3 day time period he promised a full refund. After 3 more times of attempting to register the car, I gave him the jeep back and he promised a refund. After nearly 4 months he has given me a total of $1,100 back and refused to give me the rest stating that he doesn't have the money, which resulted in me filing a police report and having to go to small claims court.

We contacted Chris about purchasing a 2000 Jeep Wrangler via Facebook Marketplace. Over a period of time he dropped the price several times and we chose to go look at this vehicle. He again dropped the price to $5,000 + fees coming to $5517. with the understanding that he would have exhaust work done and that the vehicle would pass inspection. We picked the vehicle up the following week. The new inspection sticker was not on the Jeep, but it did have an in date sticker. A week later we took our son's new Jeep to our mechanic to get the oil changed, and change the steering assembly prior to inspection. When our mechanic put it on the lift he was horrified. He called us immediately saying that it would never pass inspection due to rust on the frame. He sent us to a Jeep specialist. Tomyworx, the Jeep frame specialist, stated that there was now way that they could repair or replace the frame. Also, they felt that the existing inspection sticker was questionable. They found that the frame had been taped then painted black over the tape "in an intentional attempt to deceive."

After 3 weeks of repeatedly texting with this dealer, who originally claimed to "own" the dealership, but now conveniently does not, we have reached a settlement. Chris agreed to meet us and give us $5,000 in cash, because "the boss is never around" to give us the entire amount. That leaves us short approximately $1800 between work we had done and fees, but at least we aren't completely out of all of it.... except, we get there and he hands me a BUSINESS CHECK! NO CASH!! Now I am waiting a week and a half to see if the thing clears.

In the mean time I am looking on Marketplace again this morning, starting the search again for my son's car, what do I see but that death trap of a Jeep. M&M Motors has it back up for sale $7,495. It is going to get someone killed! I have been driving manual transmission cars for 27 years. An inexperienced driver WILL NOT stay on the road over 60 mph.

He would say the dmv need an extra $300 or an extra $200 never once asked for my drivers license, he used different numbers every time I would send money after time he would call I’ll answer and he hang up quickly he kept saying after this payment you’ll get the car lying about it , he lied about what the outside and inside looked like he would asked to used Apple Pay , chime and Cashapp he lied abt the miles on it

I purchased a vehicle with back roads automotive dealership in Chesapeake Virginia. At the point of sale the car dealer Taylor told me that the vehicle functioned completely and had no engine issues. driving the vehicle after the test drive, I noticed that the vehicle had major engine issues that the dealership had not warned me of. I took the vehicle to National Tire and Battery to get an inspection on the vehicle which revealed that it has an extensive history with repairs and damages. I spoke with the dealership and they assured me that they would fix any damages that the vehicle had. After 3 weeks I was given the keys to the vehicle although it still had extensive engine issues, so I refused to take the vehicle home. At this point, I told the dealership that I wanted to return the vehicle, because I was still within the first week of owning it yet they said that they do not have a return policy and that they are unwilling to allow me to trade the vehicle for a different working one. In addition to reporting Backroads Automotive to the Better Business Bureau I will also be reporting them to the Virginia DMV and I will have to seek legal help to relinquish the vehicle from my credit and receive a refund.
