Someone reached out to me upon me submitting for an online search of car transportation companies to bring my vehicle from Tx to Fl. On the phone, I was quoted a definite price, asked to put down a $159 deposit that would go towards the outstanding balance. Later I received a call from the actual transport person I presume stating I would have to pay $300 more than the quoted price. I realized it was potentially a scam after calling the phone number back that originally phoned me only to find out it is not a business line, but a personal line, and it was requested that I pay via Cash App or Zelle. That should have the glaring red flag. The other red flag was that nationality of the persons I was corresponding with.
