Received a letter at least 5 times over the past year or so stating my vehicle warranty has expired and to contact them to be sure I’m covered. Never has a return address. Until this most recent letter, never a named contact.

This letter signed as Catherine Beaumont Program Coordinator and phone # 888-413-6065

I received a letter in the mail that appears to be from Toyota. However, I suspected it was a SCAM letter so I called the Toyota dealership where I purchased my car. I talked to the Finance Department and I described the letter I had received. Result … the agent at Toyota told me the letter was a scam and that I should throw it away.

The document states … “THIS LETTER IS TO INFORM YOU: That if your factory warranty has expired, you will be Financially Liable for all repairs. Our records indicate that you HAVE NOT CONTACTED us to get your service contract up-to-date. You have the option to protect your vehicle beyond the factory warranty. Please call us at 1-888-307-2075 before 5/12/2025 to confirm your eligibility.”

At the bottom of the one-page letter it states “All services contracts are through Evercare Direct.”

We received a letter about the factory warranty of our new car that we just purchased on 12/23/24, will be expired and we will be financially liable for all repairs unless we call by 3/12/25. We call and they tell us we need to purchase an extended warranty. Thankfully we realized this was fishy and declined. But they did get the card info but we stopped before the payment was processed. The debit card had to be cancelled and a new one was ordered. Our actual dealership office confirmed our car is covered and the letter is not from them.
