Contacted for sale of bike offered to meet, but wanted a vehicle report from carcheckzone.com. I saw a scam report matching my same situation, so I did not continue with it.

Posted a vehicle for sale on Facebook marketplace. Was sent a message wanting to set up a time to come see the vehicle. He asked for a carcheck report. I told him I was not familiar with that company and offered to get him a Carfax. He said he always got a carcheck report and said he would reimburse me the $35 fee when he came to look at the van. I filed for a report online using a debit card for payment. The report was never sent, an email said he the VIN could not be found. The proposed buyer never showed up. I sent multiple emails requesting a refund as stated on their website. There is no phone number listed.
