Cardinal, Branch reached out to me offering to assist me with loss mitigation with my mortgage company. They sent me documentation which I completed and returned along with my bank account information and my tax returns as well as an authorization allowing them to be a third party to my mortgage company. I was told the fee for the service was 1750 per month for three months. Individuals from Cardinal branch contacted me multiple times, and their story started to not make sense and I questioned it and was told it would take more than six months for them to determine if they would be able to assist with loss mitigation. I contacted my mortgage company directly, who informed me that I did not need to work with a third-party. I put a stop payment on the other checks and closed my bank accounts. I am still concerned as they have my Social Security number address, phone number, bank statements, paystubs and tax returns. I’m not receiving threats because I’m not making payments. I have a FedEx label that was sent to me that I used to return documentation to them. I also have email addresses and phone numbers for individuals named Robert Baker and Linda Clark.
