Type of a scam Online Purchase
purchase of items and was redirected to promohomedepot.com website when I attempted to exit home depot website. Message on computer screen said item was overstocked and offered additional $40 discount. Then ordered two screwdrivers for approximately $99 total price with tax using Paypal account with charge to Citi Master card. Charge identified as Cards4Carlton and Cards4Carlton.com billed credit card $99 on December 19 and again on December 20. Checked promohomedepot.com website and charges appeared to be daily and weekly recurring charges so I disputed charges at Paypal and Citi Bank on December 20 (or maybe Dec. 21) and changed credit card number. Paypal said charges were authorized (same day response to me) and I have attempted to re-open dispute. No products received at this writing (December 30, 2023). Cards4Carlton.com website now unreadable on my computer.
