The process involved communication through email, Microsoft Teams, phone (call and text), and DocuSign. After receiving an initial request to interview from Paul Willis, it took two months to successfully set it up with Linda Stasiak, a text-based interview conducted via Microsoft Teams, after being told the initial interview representative (Brittany Lewis) was on emergency leave. Following the interview, a technical assessment was requested to be taken and completed within a designated time. A week later, a text message was received from Mike Rim, a supposed representative of Bergsen, notifying that he had an update on the application and employment with Bergsen. A phone call followed, first requesting feedback on their interview process, and then being informed that I was being hired for the job and to expect a formal contract in the next day or so. A contract was received from Linda Stasiak via DocuSign, which appeared to be legitimate. After signing the contract, Linda Stasiak then requested direct deposit information, before eventually stating that a direct deposit would not be issued but instead that a electronic check would be issued toward purchasing job-related equipment (laptop and printer), and suggesting it be purchased from their "preferred vendor." The electronic check was then sent with instructions and support on how to ensure the check was deposited successfully, which was ignored.
