When applying for the job, I applied for a full time lead position in Sephora within Kohl’s. I received an email back from Kohl’s corporate to schedule a screening interview which went well, and I was then set to schedule an interview with the GM of the Kohl’s location I was applying to. When I have the interview, I am told by the GM that the position had already been filled and they they would rather take me for an associate position either within the Sephora or within the Khol’s side. When applying for the position, I filled out on the application that I was NOT interested in part-time work because I wanted a full-time position. Because the position I applied to was full time, they offered to give me full time hours but without the full-time benefits. So although I would be working full-time, I would not receive main benefits such as health insurance, or to invest into retirement. I declined the offer, and went back home. As soon as I arrived to my house, I receive an email saying that I was declined for the position. I found this to be extremely unprofessional.Three months go by, and I wander upon a video on TikTok by the creator “ the_bree_spreethat ”talking about her experience of applying to a job within the Khol’s Sephora and how terrible it went. Her experience was VERY similar to mine, and I then read the comments under the video where many more people have had similar experiences when having applied to Sephora in Kohl’s.
