- Los Angeles, CA, USA

I was contacted by someone via email named Mark Broadway through [email protected], who offered me an invitation to participate in an interview for a remote Photo Retoucher position at Save the Duck. After an initial reply, they sent over the details of the position, with hours and pay that were... above average, to say the least. At this point, I was already somewhat skeptical. There were also a few scattered typos in the email exchange, which didn't help. After that, I was invited to download a messaging app called Wire and contact someone named Jana Strawn, which I did. The initial exchange was somewhat normal, but by the time I had received more details (flexibility, pay, work anywhere) and arrived just prior to answering the screening questions, I was doubtful enough to search the details of the exchange online, for verification purpose. Of course, not only is there no one named Mark Broadway or Jana Strawn who work at Save the Duck, but the pay was significantly out of range for any other positions listed at the company.
