It happened exactly the same to me, just that claimed to be from another company "Michael Stars". But they used the same methodology and I received a call from that same number.

I applied to a remote photo retoucher position via LinkedIn for SHANY Cosmetics. I was contacted via email on 1/18/2024 by “Mark Doner” requesting an interview and to “act quickly”. I was told to download the Wire messaging app, connect with “Stacy Davidson” and give her my interview code. Once I connected with her, I had an interview via Wire app immediately. The next day (1/19/2024) I received a call and text from the number 618-436-0184 offering me the position. I received an email from “Steve Bellamy” with onboarding paperwork requesting my name, bank information, home address, email, birthday, emergency contact and my drivers license. I was then told to contact “Morgan Reed” over the Wire messaging app for onboarding information. Reed proceeded to message me a fake check in the Wire app, telling me to mobile deposit it for work equipment.

I just had the same thing happen to me but with LoudMouth Clothing, and different names. But the events and how they wanted me to contact them was exactly the same! So Crazy!
