Caribbean Break Vacations Reports & Reviews (1)

I received a random phone call from a Cesar Lopez at Caribbean Break Vacations who stated they were partnered with Marriot and offered a truly unbelievable travel package and a cruise deal for a ridiculously cheap price that included 6days/5nights at an all-inclusive resort of my choice in Orlando, Florida, Cancun, Mexico and a number of other destinations for 2 adults & 2 children for $899 plus tax. He said additional travelers could be added for $99. I listened to the offer and grew interested as it appeared to be a great bargain. I asked some questions regarding their website, mailing address and refund policy which he provided and stated that I would have 18 months to use the package and that it was refundable if I was not satisfied with the booking process as long as I had not used the vacation package. I was interested in purchasing this package as it appeared to be a great deal, however I was a little skeptical. At this point, I continued to ask more questions regarding the specifics of the package deal. I wanted to be sure of what I would be getting into, so I gave him specific dates of travel and my destination of choice Nassau, Bahamas which he confirmed was on the list of approved destinations. When I asked if he was 100% sure, he said he would put his supervisor on the phone to confirm. At that point he transferred the call to a Fabian Wevick, who confirmed everything Cesar had promised and was very pushy in getting me to make the purchase. I finally gave in and decided to provide him with my credit card information, which was ultimately the biggest mistake I could have possibly done. I was charged $899 plus $143.84 in taxes for a total of 1042.84. After which, he emailed me a vacation certificate that I was supposed to sign and return with a copy of my government issued ID in order to activate the package. After I activated the package, I attempted to book my destination of choice which was Nassau, Bahamas. However, I was told that the Bahamas was not on the list of destinations. When I requested to speak with Cesar or Fabian who had assured me that the Bahamas was on the list, I was told they were not there at that moment but would return my call as soon as they arrived at work. Well, I never received a call back and got the run around every time I called and requested to speak with one of them. I decided to request a refund because I was only interested in going to the Bahamas in the next 18 months, but I was told the vacation package was nonrefundable. After several attempts at unsuccessfully trying to get a refund, I gave up and decided to file a fraud claim with my bank. My bank provided a temporary credit to my account while they investigated the claim. However, several months later they withdrew the credit and said they could not conclude that it was a fraudulent charge since Caribbean Break Vacations had a certificate signed by me. To date, I have been unable to recover the $1042.84 that I paid for this vacation package nor have I been able to utilize the services that were promised.
