My experience was frustrating and scary. I received a text message for a job interview 2/7/2024 work from home. Then, instructions were given to interview with team chat. Then, received congratulations on accepting position. I was sent a job offer, job application and direct deposit form to fill and signed. I was advised to report to training supervisor daily on Skype. The company sent two checks to cover office materials of working from home. I was sent a check around $2000.00 from email to mobile deposit. My bank discovered it’s fraudulent. And I lost out on ever using my mobile app. I told the company it’s a fraud check that was sent. Next, an emailed check around $5000 was mailed out, was advised to deposit through a teller at bank. This raised security concerns at my bank credit union and my account was locked, bank BBC card as well for almost 3 weeks. I informed the company again about another fraudulent check. The same saying every single time for and entire month “ple[censored]d, this is being reported to the finance department “ Also, I was told equipment is on the way daily, then training will start. While waiting to start , I was given research assignments to answer questions while waiting to start this job. This company also informed I will get paid for duties completed. So, still nothing about equipment, then I was told I needed to pay fees for shipping and vendor fees for software installations for work equipment. This happened everyday until I lost $660 send to Apple Pay to three different phone numbers. Then, I was informed UPS needed another fee for shipping a few times advised by the financial department. I just got tired of this everyday asking for money. I have never known any employer to do that. Advised I will get reimbursed, receive equipment with W4 and Employee Policy and my result of this was money loss and being scammed. So, I have ended my scammed employment on March 1, 2024. Please be careful of job scams.
