This scammer send a text message to people stating that he is associated with Carrington Mortgage and that you mortgage is in default and then when you call him he requests that you send him a mortgage payment and to send it another way because Carrington Mortgage payment systems will be down for the next couple of days. I called Carrington Mortgage and they said that it is a scam because my mortgage is good. He is what his text says.

Attention.

This is (Carrington Mortgage) text notification. This is to inform you that your mortgage property is under the default list, so we suggest you to contact your concern officer Mr. Darwin, Deon immediately at 210-346-9641. Unexpected delay OR zero communication will be mark reckless towards you mortgage account, and your mortgage property will be prosecuted further on this legal issue. Thank you.
